For this project, the brief was to design perfume bottles around the “Dandy's Club” theme. In other words, the whole world of gambling, alcohol and Gentlemens. To achieve this, we imagined three different atmospheres corresponding to three different alcohols. The first atmosphere is that of the early evening, the smoking room. The second is the gambling room. The third is the terrace, where you can finally get some fresh air after staying in a hot, noisy room. We also imagined three different collections to take bottle design a step further.

All about the leather

The first collection presented was designed around leather. When I looked into the subject, the world of dandies immediately brought to mind the leather found on the sofas in tuxedo rooms or on the gloves worn by these Gentlemens. So the idea was to create a perfume bottle with a leather sheath, in three different colors to represent the three moods of the evening.

Everything about the cocktails

The second collection was designed around cocktails, and after several iterations, we decided to stick with a bottle that referred to the Campari bottle. I found it very interesting to work the bottle with small striations, the play of texture could be very pleasant to the touch and directly recognizable. Of course, the label was also inspired by the same cocktail bottle. The three colors represent the three different alcohols that make up a cocktail: brown for whisky, red for negroni/bitter and yellow for gin.

...And the drinks

Finally, the latter was intended to represent short drinks rather than cocktails. So we worked with a new, very small bottle shape, in reference to a small glass. Here too, each color is associated with a different spirit and mood for the evening.
